  • Public Bus

    From the downtown Berkeley area, walk to the nearest bus stop that services AC Transit. You can catch the 51B bus towards San Francisco. Stay on the bus until you reach the 'Sloat Blvd & Great Hwy' stop. From there, walk a short distance to the San Francisco Zoo entrance located at Sloat Blvd & Upper Great Hwy.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the local bike share programs in Berkeley. Start at the Berkeley Marina and head west towards the Bay Trail. Follow the trail along the water until you reach the Golden Gate Fields. From there, navigate through the streets to get onto I-80 north and cross the bridge into San Francisco. Follow signs to the zoo, which is located at Sloat Blvd & Upper Great Hwy.
