Getting There
Bus
From downtown Berkeley, walk to the nearest bus stop on Shattuck Avenue. Take Bus 7 towards 'San Francisco' and ride for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Embarcadero & Broadway' stop in Oakland. Transfer to the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) at the 'Embarcadero' station and take a train towards 'Daly City'. Disembark at the 'Montgomery St.' station, then exit the station and walk approximately 15 minutes to reach Telegraph Hill.
BART Train
Make your way to the nearest BART station in Berkeley, which is the 'Downtown Berkeley' station. Purchase a ticket to 'Montgomery St.' in San Francisco. Board the train heading towards 'San Francisco International Airport' or 'Millbrae'. After about 20 minutes, get off at the 'Montgomery St.' station. Once you exit the station, walk for about 15 minutes towards Telegraph Hill.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from a local bike-sharing service. Start your ride towards the San Francisco Bay Trail. Follow the trail east until you reach the Bay Bridge. Cross the bridge (note that this may not be allowed for all bike-sharing services) and continue into the city. Follow signs to Telegraph Hill, which is located northeast of the Bay Bridge.
