Getting There

• Public Transport

  From downtown San Francisco (e.g., Union Square), take the Muni Metro to the Montgomery Station. From there, it's approximately a 15-20 minute walk to Jackson Square. Alternatively, several bus lines serve the area. A single ride on Muni costs $2.85 with a Clipper card or the MuniMobile app, or $3.00 cash. A day pass is $5.70.

• Walking

  From the Financial District, head north towards Columbus Avenue. Jackson Square is located where Columbus Avenue intersects with Jackson Street. The walk is approximately 15-20 minutes, offering views of historic buildings along the way. Be aware of the sometimes steep hills.

• Taxi/Ride-Share

  Taxis and ride-sharing services (Uber/Lyft) are readily available throughout San Francisco. A short ride from downtown to Jackson Square will typically cost between $15-$25, depending on traffic and demand. Note that taxi fares start at $4.15, with additional charges per mile and waiting time. Airport surcharge from SFO is $5.50.

• Driving

  From Highway 101, exit onto Broadway and head east. Turn left onto Montgomery Street, then right onto Jackson Street. Jackson Square will be on your left. Parking in the area can be challenging. Street parking is limited and metered. Several parking garages are available in the vicinity, with hourly rates typically ranging from $4 to $10. Monthly parking options are also available.
