From downtown Berkeley, walk to the Downtown Berkeley BART station located at 2170 Shattuck Ave. Take the Richmond Line heading towards San Francisco and get off at the Civic Center/UN Plaza station. Once you exit the station, walk east on McAllister St for about 3 minutes until you reach Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place. San Francisco City Hall will be right ahead.

If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local bike share programs in Berkeley. Head south on Shattuck Avenue, then turn left on University Avenue. Continue straight until you hit the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge Trail. Follow the trail into San Francisco and take the exit toward 5th St. Continue on 5th St, then turn right onto McAllister St. You will reach Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place in about 15 minutes.
