    From downtown Berkeley, walk to the nearest bus stop on Shattuck Ave. Catch the AC Transit bus number 72 or 74 heading towards the El Cerrito Del Norte BART Station. Ride the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at Sonoma Plaza. From the bus stop, walk east on E Spain St for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at the Sonoma Barracks located at 98 E Spain St.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Berkeley. Head north on Shattuck Ave, then turn left onto University Ave and follow it until you reach the bike path that leads towards the Bay Trail. Continue on the bike path until you reach Sonoma. The Sonoma Barracks is located at 98 E Spain St, which is about a 1-hour ride from Berkeley.
