From the center of Big Sur, head south on Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) towards Carmel. Continue walking along the highway, enjoying the scenic views. After about 17 miles, you will reach the entrance to Pacific Grove. Look for Sunset Drive, which is your turn for Asilomar State Beach. Along this stretch, you can stop at local attractions or viewpoints for breaks. Once you reach Sunset Drive, turn right and walk towards the beach area, which is approximately 0.5 miles away.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Big Sur. Start by biking south on Highway 1. After approximately 17 miles, you will arrive at Pacific Grove. When you see Sunset Drive, turn right. Continue biking along Sunset Drive for about 0.5 miles until you reach Asilomar State Beach. The bike ride offers scenic views of the coastline, so take your time and enjoy the journey.
