Once inside, bike along 17-Mile Drive. The Lone Cypress is located near the 7th hole of the Pebble Beach Golf Links. The total biking distance from Big Sur to Lone Cypress is about 14 miles, which should take around 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace.
Public Transport and Walking
From Big Sur, take a public transport bus heading north towards Monterey. Get off at the Pacific Grove stop. From there, transfer to a local bus that goes to Pebble Beach. Once you arrive in Pebble Beach, you can walk or bike to the Lone Cypress. Follow the signs for 17-Mile Drive, which will lead you directly to the viewing area for the Lone Cypress. The entire journey may take around 2 to 3 hours based on wait times for buses.
