Walking
If you are starting from the Big Sur River Inn, head south on CA-1 for about 6 miles until you reach the intersection with Carmel Valley Road. At this point, you will need to take a bus or shuttle to Pebble Beach, as walking along CA-1 can be unsafe. Once you arrive in Pebble Beach, walk to 17 Mile Drive. The Restless Sea is located right along the coast on 17 Mile Drive, where you can enjoy stunning views of the ocean and the unique rock formations.

Begin your journey at the Big Sur Visitor Center and take the Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) Bus Route 22 towards Monterey. Ride the bus for approximately 40 minutes until you reach the Carmel Plaza stop. From here, transfer to the MST Bus Route 1 towards Pebble Beach. Ride for another 20 minutes and get off at the Pebble Beach stop. Walk along 17 Mile Drive towards the coast, and the Restless Sea will be on your left, offering breathtaking views of the ocean.
