Start at the Big Sur Village, which is located along Highway 1. Head south on Highway 1 for about 27 miles. After you pass the Big Sur River Inn, look for the entrance to the Big Sur Land Trust at 509 Hartnell St, Monterey, CA 93940. Since you are walking, plan for a long journey and ensure you have comfortable walking shoes and plenty of water.

From Big Sur, take the Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) bus service. The nearest bus stop is at the Big Sur Post Office. Catch the MST bus 22 heading towards Monterey. The ride will take about 1.5 hours. Get off at the Hartnell Street stop in Monterey. Walk approximately 0.2 miles southeast on Hartnell St until you reach the Big Sur Land Trust at 509 Hartnell St.
