Public Transport
Start by walking to the nearest bus stop, which should be located on the main street near where you are staying in Castro Valley. Look for the AC Transit bus service. You will want to catch the bus that goes to the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station. Depending on your location in Castro Valley, you might take the Route 33 or Route 14 bus to the Castro Valley BART station. Once you reach the BART station, purchase a ticket to the Civic Center station in San Francisco. After boarding the train, enjoy the ride until you arrive at Civic Center. From Civic Center, exit the station and walk to the nearby bus stop for the 5R or 5 bus that heads towards Golden Gate Park. After about 30 minutes on the bus, get off at the stop for John F. Kennedy Drive. Walk a short distance to the Bison Paddock, which will be on your right at 1237 John F Kennedy Dr.
Walking
If you are closer to the BART station in Castro Valley, you can walk there directly and take the BART to San Francisco. Once at the Civic Center BART station, walk towards the bus stop to catch the 5R or 5 bus to Golden Gate Park. After you disembark the bus at the stop on John F. Kennedy Drive, the Bison Paddock will be a short walk ahead on the right.
