From Castro Valley, walk to the Castro Valley BART station located at 3401 Castro Valley Blvd. Once there, take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Montgomery St. station in San Francisco. Exit the station and walk to the Montgomery St. & Sacramento St. bus stop. Here, board the MUNI bus line 1-California heading towards California St & Van Ness Ave. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the Mason St & California St stop. The Cable Car Museum is a short 5-minute walk from there at 1201 Mason St.
