    From Castro Valley BART Station, exit the station and walk to the bus stop located at the corner of Castro Valley Blvd and Redwood Rd. Take the AC Transit bus line 31 towards San Francisco. After approximately 45 minutes, get off at the bus stop at Bayshore Blvd & Sunnydale Ave. From there, transfer to bus line 9 towards Bayview-Hunters Point. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop at Hunters Point Expy & Earl St. Walk approximately 10 minutes to reach Candlestick Point State Recreation Area.

  • Bicycle

    If you're up for a bike ride, start at Castro Valley BART Station. Head north on Castro Valley Blvd, then take a left on Redwood Rd. Continue on Redwood Rd until you reach the intersection with Highway 580. Use the bike path along the freeway to head towards San Francisco. Follow the path approximately 9 miles until you reach Candlestick Point State Recreation Area. Make sure to follow local bike paths for safety.

    For those who enjoy a long walk, start at Castro Valley BART Station. Walk north on Castro Valley Blvd, then turn left onto Redwood Rd. Continue walking straight for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 580. Carefully cross the highway and continue on the sidewalk towards Bayview-Hunters Point. This route is approximately 6 miles and may take around 2 hours. Be sure to stay on the sidewalks and use pedestrian crossings for safety.
