Public Bus
From Castro Valley, walk to the nearest bus stop and catch the Line 29 bus towards the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the BART station. Once at the BART station, purchase a ticket to the Embarcadero station in San Francisco. The train ride will take about 40 minutes. After arriving at Embarcadero, transfer to the MUNI bus system by taking the 30 bus towards Marina District. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes until you reach the stop at Crissy Field. From there, walk a short distance to enjoy the park.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Castro Valley. Start by heading south on Castro Valley Boulevard until you reach the Iron Horse Regional Trail. Follow the trail north towards Walnut Creek, then connect to the Bay Trail heading towards San Francisco. This route will take approximately 2 hours and offers beautiful views. Once you reach the Presidio area, follow the signs to Crissy Field. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow local cycling regulations.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and ready for a long walk, you can start from Castro Valley and head to the nearest public transport hub. Walk to the Castro Valley BART station and take the BART to Embarcadero. After that, walk to the MUNI bus stop and catch the 30 bus towards Marina District. After about 25 minutes, get off at Crissy Field. The entire journey will take you several hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
