Getting There

• Public Transit

  Start at the Castro Valley BART station. Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Transfer at the Embarcadero station to the Muni 28 bus heading towards Marin City. Ride the bus until you reach the Sausalito Ferry Terminal. Take the ferry to the Larkspur Ferry Terminal. From there, catch the Marin Transit Route 35 bus towards Mill Valley. Get off at the Mill Valley Depot, then walk approximately 1.5 miles to Old Conzelman Rd, where the Golden Gate View Point is located.

• Rideshare

  Use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft. Set your destination to 'Golden Gate View Point, Old Conzelman Rd, Mill Valley, CA'. The driver will navigate the best route for you, but be aware that it can take around 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Castro Valley. Start by heading to Castro Valley Blvd and ride north towards Redwood Rd. Continue on Redwood Rd until you reach the intersection with CA-35. Follow CA-35 north until you reach Mill Valley. From there, head west on Old Mill St and take the road up to Old Conzelman Rd. The Golden Gate View Point will be on your right. Please note that this route is hilly and may require some effort.

• Walking

  While walking to the Golden Gate View Point from Castro Valley is quite a trek, if you're up for it, start from the Castro Valley BART station and head north on Castro Valley Blvd. Follow Castro Valley Blvd until you reach Redwood Rd, then turn left and continue to CA-35. Walk north along CA-35 until you reach Mill Valley. Once in Mill Valley, navigate towards Old Conzelman Rd. The walk will be approximately 10 miles, so ensure you have plenty of time and water.
