Public Transit
To reach North Beach in San Francisco from Castro Valley, start by walking to the Castro Valley BART station located at 3301 Castro Valley Blvd. Once there, buy a ticket for San Francisco. Board a train heading towards the Embarcadero station. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Embarcadero, follow the signs to transfer to the MUNI bus. Take MUNI bus 8X or the 30 Stockton towards Pier 39. Get off at the stop at Columbus Ave & Washington St. From there, walk north on Columbus Avenue for about 5 minutes until you reach North Beach. Enjoy your visit!

Walking and Public Transit
If you prefer a more scenic route, you can also walk to the Castro Valley BART station. After reaching the station, take the BART train to the Montgomery St. station in San Francisco. From Montgomery St., exit and walk towards 3rd St., where you can catch the MUNI bus 30 Stockton. This bus will take you directly to North Beach. The walking and bus journey will take about 1.5 hours total. Make sure to enjoy the views along the way!
