Board the bus heading towards the 'San Diego' direction. Stay on until you reach the 'City College' stop. From there, transfer to the MTS bus route 7. This bus will take you directly towards Balboa Park. Get off at the 'Park Blvd & Zoo Pl' stop. Once you exit the bus, walk a short distance down Zoo Pl, and you will arrive at the Desert Garden.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to ride a bicycle, start at the Chula Vista Bayfront Park and head north on the bike path towards San Diego. Follow the path along the water until you reach the intersection with Harbor Dr. Turn left and continue until you reach the San Diego-Coronado Bridge. Cross the bridge, and when you reach the San Diego side, turn right onto Park Blvd. Continue straight on Park Blvd until you reach Zoo Pl. Turn left on Zoo Pl, and the Desert Garden will be on your right.

    If you are nearby in Chula Vista, you can take a leisurely walk. Start at the Chula Vista Center mall. Head east on Broadway, then turn left onto 3rd Ave. Continue walking north until you reach E St. Turn right onto E St and follow it until you reach the bus terminal. From there, you can take the MTS bus route 701 as mentioned above, or alternatively, continue your walk along E St until you reach Park Blvd, then turn left and follow Park Blvd until you reach Zoo Pl.
