Ferry
To reach the Botanical Building from Coronado, start by heading to the Coronado Ferry Landing. Walk towards the waterfront and look for the ferry terminal. Purchase a ticket for the San Diego Ferry, which will take you across the bay. The ferry ride offers beautiful views and lasts about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Broadway Pier in San Diego, disembark and head straight towards the Gaslamp Quarter.
Public Transport
After arriving at the Broadway Pier, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located along Broadway. Catch the 7 or 11 bus heading towards Balboa Park. The bus ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to the park entrance. From there, you can walk into Balboa Park, and the Botanical Building will be a short walk from the main entrance.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, after getting off the ferry, head south on Harbor Drive towards the Gaslamp Quarter. Continue walking straight until you reach the park entrance. Enter Balboa Park and follow the signs to the Botanical Building. It’s a beautiful walk through the park, which will take about 30 minutes.
