Bus
From downtown Chula Vista, walk to the nearest bus stop on 3rd Avenue. Take the MTS bus route 701 heading north towards San Diego. Get off at the stop at 'Encinitas Blvd & I-5', which should take about 45 minutes. From there, walk west on Encinitas Blvd for about 0.5 miles until you reach Moonlight State Beach.

Bicycle
If you're comfortable riding a bike, rent one from a local shop in Chula Vista. Head north on the Bayshore Bikeway, which will take you through beautiful coastal views. Continue following the bikeway until you reach the intersection with Encinitas Blvd. Turn right onto Encinitas Blvd and ride for about 1 mile until you arrive at Moonlight State Beach.

If you prefer to walk, start at the Chula Vista Public Library on 365 F St. Head north on F Street until you reach 3rd Avenue. Turn right on 3rd Avenue and continue heading north until you reach Encinitas Blvd. Turn left onto Encinitas Blvd and walk for about 1.5 miles. Moonlight State Beach will be on your left.
