    From any location in the Colorado Desert, head west on I-10 towards Los Angeles. Continue on I-10 for approximately 75 miles until you reach the junction with I-215 South. Merge onto I-215 South and continue for about 15 miles. Then, merge onto I-15 South. After approximately 30 miles, take exit 35B for I-5 South towards San Diego. Continue on I-5 South for about 20 miles. Take exit 37 for Leucadia Blvd and turn left onto Leucadia Blvd. At the intersection, turn right onto Quail Gardens Drive, and you'll find the San Diego Botanic Garden at 300 Quail Gardens Drive, Encinitas, CA 92024. Note that there may be a small parking fee upon entering the garden.

    If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a Greyhound or FlixBus service from a nearby city in the Colorado Desert to San Diego. Once you arrive at the San Diego Bus Station, transfer to the COASTER commuter train at the Santa Fe Depot. Board the train heading to Oceanside and disembark at the Encinitas station. From there, you can take bus number 101 (North County Transit District) towards Leucadia Blvd. Get off at the stop near Ecke Ranch Rd, and walk about 0.4 miles to reach the entrance of the San Diego Botanic Garden at 300 Quail Gardens Drive.
