If you're traveling by car, start by taking the I-5 freeway north from anywhere in San Diego County. Continue on I-5 N for about 30 miles. Take exit 48 for Carlsbad Village Dr. Merge onto Carlsbad Village Dr and head west until you reach Carlsbad Blvd. Turn left onto Carlsbad Blvd. The Carlsbad Sign will be on your right at the intersection of Carlsbad Blvd and Tamarack Ave. Parking is available along the street, but be mindful of any parking regulations.

Public Transportation (Coaster Train)
For public transportation, take the Coaster train from various locations in San Diego County to the Carlsbad Village station. The Coaster runs on a regular schedule, and tickets can be purchased at the station or online. Once you arrive at the Carlsbad Village station, exit and walk west towards Carlsbad Blvd. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the Carlsbad Sign. Follow Carlsbad Village Dr, then turn left onto Carlsbad Blvd, and you will see the sign on your right. Be sure to check the Coaster schedule for return trips.

You can also take the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) bus routes that serve Carlsbad. Check the MTS website for routes that connect to Carlsbad, such as routes that go to the Carlsbad Village area. After getting off at the nearest bus stop, walk west towards Carlsbad Blvd and follow the same directions as above to reach the Carlsbad Sign. Be prepared for potential bus fares, which vary by route.
