Ferry
Start by making your way to the Coronado Ferry Landing, located at 1201 1st Street, Coronado, CA. From there, board the ferry to San Diego. The ferry ride takes about 15 minutes and offers beautiful views of the bay. Once you arrive at the San Diego ferry terminal, follow the signs to exit.
Public Transit (Bus)
After arriving at the San Diego ferry terminal, head to the bus stop located on Harbor Drive. Take the MTS Bus Route 7 towards the 'City College' station. Ride the bus for approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Balboa Park' stop. Once you disembark, walk into Balboa Park following the signs. The Alcázar Garden is located at 1363 El Prado, inside the park.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from the ferry terminal, exit the terminal and head northwest on North Harbor Drive. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with W Broadway. Turn right onto W Broadway and follow it until you reach 1st Avenue. Turn left onto 1st Avenue, and then take a right onto Ash Street. Continue on Ash Street until you reach 6th Avenue. Turn left onto 6th Avenue, and follow the signs to Balboa Park. Once inside the park, head towards the Alcázar Garden located at 1363 El Prado.
