    Getting There

    Bicycle

    To reach La Jolla from central Coronado, start by heading north on Orange Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the Coronado Ferry Landing. Here, you can rent a bicycle if you don’t have one. Once you're on your bike, ride towards the ferry terminal and take the ferry to downtown San Diego. After disembarking, head west towards the waterfront and take Harbor Drive north. Follow the signs to the San Diego Convention Center, then turn left onto 1st Avenue heading north. Continue until you reach the intersection with W Ash Street and turn right. Follow Ash Street until you reach the I-5 North entrance. Stay on the I-5 North for about 10 miles, then exit at La Jolla Parkway. Follow signs for La Jolla, and you will be in the area of La Jolla.

    Public Transport (Bus)

    From Coronado, walk to the Coronado Ferry Landing and take the ferry to downtown San Diego. Once you arrive at the Broadway Pier, follow the signs to the bus station. Take the bus route 30 or 31 (check the latest schedules) towards La Jolla. The bus will take you along the coastline, and you can exit at the stop nearest to La Jolla Cove. From there, it’s a short walk to the beach and surrounding attractions.

    If you're feeling adventurous, you can walk! Start on Orange Avenue and head towards the Coronado Ferry Landing. Take the ferry to downtown San Diego. Once on the other side, walk north along the waterfront until you reach Harbor Drive. Continue down Harbor Drive until you reach the San Diego Convention Center, then head north on 1st Avenue. Walk along 1st Avenue until you reach W Ash Street and turn right. Follow Ash Street towards I-5 North. Once you reach La Jolla Parkway, follow the signs into La Jolla. Note that this is a long walk, approximately 15 miles, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
