Getting There

  • Ferry

    From Coronado, head to the Coronado Ferry Landing, located at 1201 1st St, Coronado, CA 92118. You can walk there from most locations in Coronado, as it is central. Once at the ferry landing, purchase a ticket for the ferry to San Diego. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of the bay and takes about 15 minutes. Upon arrival at the San Diego Broadway Pier, exit the ferry and walk towards Harbor Drive.

  • Public Transit

    After arriving at the Broadway Pier, you can take the MTS Bus Route 35. Walk to the nearest bus stop at the corner of Broadway and Pacific Coast Hwy. Board the bus heading towards Point Loma. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes and get off at the Ladera Street stop. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to Sunset Cliffs Natural Park. Head west on Ladera St towards Sunset Cliffs Blvd, and follow the signs to the park entrance.

  • Biking

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike at one of the local rental shops in Coronado. Ride towards the Coronado Bridge and continue on the bike path across the bridge. Once you reach the San Diego side, follow signs for Point Loma. You will eventually reach Sunset Cliffs Natural Park after approximately 7 miles of biking. The park entrance is located off Ladera St, where you can enjoy stunning views of the cliffs and ocean.

  • Walking

    If you are feeling adventurous, you can walk from the ferry landing. It is about a 3.5-mile walk from the Broadway Pier to Sunset Cliffs Natural Park. Start by heading southwest on Broadway, then take a left on Pacific Highway. Continue walking until you reach Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Turn right and follow the road until you see the entrance to the park on Ladera St. It’s a lovely walk that allows you to take in the sights of San Diego and the coastline.
