Getting There

Walking
If you are in Coronado, start at the Coronado Ferry Landing. Head south on the ferry landing promenade until you reach the end. From there, take the ferry to San Diego, which will take approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the San Diego Broadway Pier, exit the ferry and walk straight onto Broadway. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach 6th Avenue. Turn left on 6th Avenue and walk for about 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with Elm Street. Turn right onto Elm Street, and walk straight until you reach the entrance of Balboa Park. Enter Balboa Park and follow the signs towards El Prado. Continue on El Prado for about 0.3 miles until you see the California Tower on your left at 1350 El Prado.

Start at Coronado Ferry Landing and rent a bike from one of the nearby bike rental shops. Head south along the waterfront on the bike path towards the ferry terminal. Take the ferry to San Diego, which takes about 15 minutes. Upon arrival at Broadway Pier, continue straight onto Broadway for 0.5 miles. Turn left onto 6th Avenue and cycle for about 0.2 miles to the intersection with Elm Street. Turn right on Elm Street and continue cycling until you reach Balboa Park. Enter the park and follow the path to El Prado. The California Tower will be on your left at 1350 El Prado, approximately 0.3 miles from the park entrance.

You can take the #7 bus towards San Diego State University. Get off at the stop near Balboa Park (look for stops along 6th Avenue). Walk into Balboa Park and follow the path towards El Prado. The California Tower is located at 1350 El Prado, just a short walk from the park entrance.
