If you are in the downtown area of Coronado, simply head west towards the beach. Follow Orange Avenue until you reach the intersection with Avenida de las Arenas. Continue walking straight until you reach the beach path. Turn left and enjoy the scenic views. You will eventually reach the Coronado Beach area, where you can enjoy the beautiful shoreline and the iconic Hotel del Coronado.
Biking
Start at the Coronado Ferry Landing, located at 1201 1st St. Rent a bike from one of the bike rentals nearby. Head south on the Silver Strand Bikeway, a dedicated bike path that runs along the coast. Enjoy the ocean views as you ride towards the southern end of the island. The bike path will lead you directly to the beautiful Coronado Central Beach area, perfect for a stop to relax or take photos.
Public Transport (Bus)
Locate the nearest bus stop along Orange Avenue. Catch the MTS Route 904 bus, which travels through Coronado. Stay on the bus until you reach the Coronado Central Beach stop. Once you disembark, you will be just a short walk away from the beach and the nearby attractions.
Ferry
If you are near the San Diego waterfront, you can take the Coronado Ferry. Board the ferry at the Broadway Pier or the San Diego Convention Center. The ferry ride takes about 15 minutes and offers stunning views of the San Diego skyline. Once you arrive at the Coronado Ferry Landing, you can walk along the waterfront or rent a bike to explore the island further.
