From there, walk west on Dana Point Harbor Drive for about 0.5 miles until you reach Doheny State Beach.

If you're up for biking, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Costa Mesa. Head south on 19th Street towards Newport Boulevard, then continue on Newport Boulevard until you reach the Pacific Coast Highway. Turn left and follow the highway south for about 5 miles. Look for the signs directing you to Doheny State Beach, and it will be on your right.

If you're near the Costa Mesa City Hall, start at 77 Fair Drive. Head south on Fair Drive until you reach the intersection with Newport Boulevard. Turn left and walk down Newport Boulevard towards the Pacific Coast Highway. Once you reach the PCH, turn right and continue walking south for about 5 miles. Follow the signs for Doheny State Beach; it will be on your right side.
