Bus
To reach Irvine Regional Park from central Costa Mesa, start by walking to the nearest bus stop that services the OCTA bus routes. A convenient stop is at Newport Blvd and 19th St. From there, board the OCTA Route 57 bus heading towards Fullerton. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes, and disembark at the stop for the 'Lakeview Ave & Katella Ave' intersection. From here, transfer to the Route 83 bus towards Orange. Ride this bus for another 15 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Irvine Park Rd'. The park entrance will be a short walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Costa Mesa. Start your journey on 19th St heading east. Continue straight until you reach Newport Blvd, then turn left. Follow Newport Blvd north until you reach the intersection with 17th St. Turn right on 17th St and continue until you reach the Santa Ana River Trail. Follow the River Trail north, which will lead you toward Irvine Regional Park. The park is accessible from the trail and is approximately a 45-minute ride.

Walking
Walking to Irvine Regional Park from downtown Costa Mesa is quite a trek, but if you are up for it, head north on Newport Blvd towards the 55 Freeway. Once you reach the freeway, continue walking along the designated sidewalks until you reach the intersection of Chapman Ave. Turn left at Chapman Ave and follow this road until it turns into Irvine Park Rd. This walk is approximately 6 miles and could take around 2 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
