Getting There

Driving

From Highway 1 in Olema, turn west onto Bear Valley Road. The visitor center is located approximately 0.5 miles down Bear Valley Road on the right. Parking is free, with a large gravel lot available for longer visits to reduce congestion in the main paved lot. Six EV charging stations are also available. Parking overnight is prohibited between midnight and 6 AM.
Public Transport

The West Marin Stagecoach Route 68 provides public transportation to the Bear Valley Visitor Center from San Rafael. From the Bear Valley Visitor Center stop, it's a short walk to the visitor center. A one-way fare on the Stagecoach is approximately $2.00. Check the West Marin Stagecoach website for current schedules and fares.
