Parking is available on-site, and there may be a small fee for parking, so bring some cash just in case.

To reach the Japanese Gardens using public transportation, start by taking the BART train to the Hayward station. Upon arrival at Hayward BART station, exit the station and head to the bus stop located outside the station. Take the AC Transit Bus Line 60, which heads toward the Hayward City Center. Get off at the stop at N 3rd St & W Tennyson Rd. From there, walk north along N 3rd St for about 0.3 miles, and you will arrive at the Japanese Gardens. Remember to check the bus schedule in advance, and keep some change or a Clipper Card for fare.
