Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From central Glendale, head to the Glendale Transportation Center located at 400 W Cerritos Ave. Take the Metro Bus Line 90 towards North Hollywood. After about 25 minutes, get off at the stop at Victory Blvd and Foothill Blvd. Transfer to the Line 794 bus towards Palmdale. Stay on the bus for about 45 minutes until you reach the stop at Palmdale Boulevard and 1st Street. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles north along 1st Street until you reach the intersection with Mohican Trail, then turn right onto Moccasin Trail. The Chilao Visitor Center will be on your left at 1 Moccasin Trail.

    Begin your journey at the Glendale Galleria. Walk to the nearest Metro station, the Glendale Station, which is about a 10-minute walk southeast. Board the Metro Light Rail (Gold Line) towards Azusa. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Pasadena station. From there, transfer to the Metro Bus Line 686 towards Palmdale. This bus will take you directly to the Chilao Visitor Center. The total travel time will be around 1 hour and 30 minutes including transfer times.
