Getting There

From your location in Glendale, walk to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the Metro Bus Line 180 or 181 heading towards Pasadena. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 'North Hollywood Station' stop. From there, transfer to the Metro Red Line subway towards Union Station and travel for about 15 minutes, getting off at the 'Hollywood/Highland' station. Exit the station and transfer to the Metro Bus Line 704, which will take you directly to Santa Monica. This leg of the trip takes around 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Santa Monica Pier' stop.

Head to the nearest Metro station in Glendale, which is the 'Glendale Station' on the Metro Line. Board the Metro Line towards Union Station. After about 25 minutes, transfer at Union Station to the Metro Expo Line towards Santa Monica. Stay on the Expo Line for about 40 minutes until you arrive at the 'Downtown Santa Monica Station'. From there, it's just a short walk to Santa Monica Beach and the Pier.
