Public Transit
To get to Venice from Glendale, start by walking to the nearest bus stop or the Glendale Transportation Center. From there, take the Metro Bus Line 92 towards the North Hollywood station. Ride this bus until you reach the North Hollywood station. Once there, transfer to the Metro Red Line towards Union Station. Ride the Red Line until you reach the 7th Street/Metro Center station. At this station, transfer to the Metro Blue Line towards Long Beach. Ride the Blue Line to the Washington Station. After disembarking, walk southwest along Washington Boulevard until you reach the Venice Beach area.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Glendale. Start by heading south on Brand Blvd, then take a left onto Los Feliz Blvd. Continue straight until you reach the Los Angeles River bike path. Follow the bike path south, and it will lead you toward downtown Los Angeles. Once you reach downtown, navigate towards the signs for Venice Beach, which will guide you through the city's bike lanes. This ride will take you through some scenic areas and may take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.
Walking
For those who wish to walk, start at the Glendale Galleria. From the Galleria, head west along Colorado Blvd towards the Metro station. Take the bus or train to downtown Los Angeles, and from there, you can walk to Venice Beach. It’s a lengthy journey, so be prepared for a long walk of about 2 hours once you reach downtown. Follow signs to Venice Beach, which will guide you through the streets.
