Public Transport
From the Downtown Santa Monica Expo Line station, take the Big Blue Bus Route 3 towards Lincoln/Venice. The bus runs frequently. Alight at the Venice Bl & Abbot Kinney stop. From there, transfer to the Metro Local Line 33 towards Marina Del Rey. Get off at the Washington Bl & Via Marina stop, which is a short walk to the heart of Marina Del Rey. The total cost for the bus and metro should be around $3. The journey takes approximately 45-60 minutes, depending on traffic.
Taxi/Ride-Share
From Santa Monica, a taxi or ride-sharing service (Uber/Lyft) to Marina Del Rey typically costs between $20 and $30, depending on traffic and demand. The journey usually takes 15-25 minutes. Driving
If driving from the 405 Freeway, exit at CA-90 west towards Marina Del Rey. Follow CA-90 until it ends, then turn left onto Mindanao Way. From there, you can access various parking lots throughout the marina. Parking rates vary depending on the season, with daily maximums ranging from $7 to $15 during the summer and $5 to $8 during the winter. Metered parking is also available on some streets for around $1 per hour, with a 2-hour limit.
