Public Transit - Bus
From anywhere in Glendale, head to the nearest bus stop. Use the Metro Bus Line 92 or 94 heading towards Venice. Make sure to check the schedule for the next bus. Get off at the 'Main St & Rose Ave' stop in Venice. From there, walk southwest on Rose Avenue towards the beach, then turn left onto Ocean Front Walk. The Venice Beach Recreation Center will be on your right at 1800 Ocean Front Walk.

If you are close to the Glendale Galleria, walk to the nearest Metro Station, which is the 'Glendale Station' on the Metro Red Line. Take the Red Line towards Union Station and transfer at Union Station to the Expo Line towards Santa Monica. Get off at the 'Venice/Abbot Kinney' station. From there, walk west on Abbot Kinney Blvd until you reach Ocean Front Walk. Turn left and walk south until you reach the Venice Beach Recreation Center at 1800 Ocean Front Walk.

You can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Glendale. Head west on San Fernando Road towards the LA River Bike Path. Follow the path south towards Venice and continue towards the beach. Once you reach Ocean Front Walk, turn left and bike until you arrive at the Venice Beach Recreation Center at 1800 Ocean Front Walk.
