    BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)

    To get to Chinatown in San Francisco from Hayward, start by walking to the nearest BART station, which is the Hayward BART Station located at 29992 Mission Blvd. Once you arrive at the station, purchase a ticket to the Montgomery St. Station in San Francisco. Board the train heading towards San Francisco/Daly City. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at the Montgomery St. Station. Exit the station and walk towards the intersection of Montgomery St. and Market St. Continue walking north on Montgomery St. until you reach the corner of Clay St. and Montgomery St. From there, walk one block east on Clay St. until you reach Grant Ave. Turn left on Grant Ave, and you will enter Chinatown.

    Bus

    You can take the AC Transit bus 40 from the Hayward Transit Center located at 1001 B St. Board the bus heading towards the 'Bay Fair BART' station. After a short ride, transfer to the BART at Bay Fair. Purchase a ticket to Montgomery St. Station in San Francisco. Once you arrive at Montgomery St. Station, exit and walk north on Montgomery St. to Clay St. Turn left on Clay St. until you reach Grant Ave. Turn left onto Grant Ave, and you will find yourself in Chinatown.

    Walking/Biking

    If you prefer to walk or bike, start from the Hayward City Hall located at 777 B St, Hayward, CA. Head west on B St toward Mission Blvd. Turn left onto Mission Blvd and continue until you reach the Hayward BART Station. From there, follow the BART instructions above to reach Montgomery St. Station in San Francisco. Once you arrive, follow the same walking directions to Chinatown as mentioned before.
