Getting There

Bus
From Hayward, head to the Hayward BART station. Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the Embarcadero station. From there, transfer to the Muni F-Line streetcar towards Fisherman's Wharf. Ride the streetcar until you reach the Fisherman's Wharf stop. From the streetcar stop, walk towards Pier 45, which is just a short walk, and you will find Musée Mécanique.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Hayward and take the Bay Trail. Follow the trail towards San Francisco. Once you reach the city, navigate towards Fisherman’s Wharf, where Pier 45 is located. It should take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your cycling speed.

Train and Walk
Take the Amtrak train from the Hayward station to the Oakland Jack London Square station. From there, transfer to the BART and take it towards San Francisco. Get off at the Embarcadero station, and then either walk or take the Muni F-Line streetcar to Fisherman’s Wharf. Once at Fisherman’s Wharf, it’s a short walk to Pier 45.

If you are already in the downtown area of Hayward, you can walk to the Hayward BART station. Take the BART train to the Embarcadero station in San Francisco, which is approximately a 30-minute train ride. After arriving at Embarcadero, transfer to the Muni F-Line streetcar towards Fisherman’s Wharf and get off at the stop for Fisherman’s Wharf. From there, follow the signs to Pier 45.
