    From anywhere in Hayward, head to the Hayward BART station located at 699 B St, Hayward, CA 94541. Purchase a ticket to the San Francisco/Daly City direction. Board the train and ride for approximately 25 minutes, then disembark at the Embarcadero station. Transfer to the Muni Metro by following the signs for the Muni. Take the N-Judah line towards Ocean Beach and ride for about 30 minutes. Get off at the California & 48th Ave stop. Walk west towards Point Lobos Ave for about 10 minutes to reach Sutro Heights.

  • Bus

    Locate the nearest AC Transit bus stop in Hayward. Take the 60 bus towards San Francisco and ride it to the Transbay Terminal. From there, transfer to the 38 Geary bus towards the Richmond District. Ride the 38 for about 30 minutes and get off at the California & 48th Ave stop. Walk west on California Street, then turn left onto Point Lobos Ave to arrive at Sutro Heights.

    If you're comfortable cycling, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Hayward. Start by heading north on Mission Blvd, then make your way towards the Bay Trail.
