From Hayward, walk to the Hayward BART station located at 699 B St, Hayward, CA 94541. Once you arrive at the station, purchase a ticket to the Civic Center/UN Plaza station in San Francisco. Board the train heading to San Francisco/Daly City. After approximately a 30-minute ride, disembark at the Civic Center/UN Plaza station. Upon exiting the station, walk north on Market St towards Hayes St. Turn left onto Hayes St, and then right onto Van Ness Ave. The War Memorial Opera House will be on your left at 301 Van Ness Ave.
