Getting There

  • Public Transit - Bus

    If you are starting from the Hayward BART station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop located at the corner of B Street and Mission Boulevard. Take the AC Transit bus line 60 towards the Hayward City Center. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop at '3rd St & A St'. From the bus stop, walk east on A Street and then turn left on 3rd Street. The Japanese Gardens will be on your right at 22373 N 3rd St. It’s a short walk of about 5 minutes.

  • Public Transit - Light Rail

    From the Hayward BART station, take the BART train towards San Francisco and get off at the Union City station. From Union City, transfer to the Union City Transit bus line 98 towards Hayward. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop at '3rd St & A St'. Walk east on A Street, then turn left on 3rd Street. The Japanese Gardens will be on your right at 22373 N 3rd St. This walk should take you approximately 5 minutes.
