Bus
From any central location in Hayward, head to the nearest bus stop and take the AC Transit Bus Line 39 towards San Francisco. Stay on the bus for approximately 35 minutes until you reach the 'Bay St & Powell St' stop. From there, transfer to the San Francisco Muni Bus Line 30, which will take you directly to North Beach. Get off at 'Columbus Ave & Broadway' stop. The Jazz Mural is a short walk from there; head east on Broadway and turn left onto Columbus Ave. The mural will be located at the intersection with Vallejo Street.
BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)
Make your way to the nearest BART station in Hayward. Purchase a ticket to the Embarcadero station in San Francisco. Once you arrive at Embarcadero, exit the station and transfer to the Muni Metro. Take the Muni Metro N-Judah line towards Ocean Beach. Get off at 'Powell St' station. From there, walk north towards Union Square and then take the Powell-Hyde Cable Car to the end of the line at 'Hyde St & Beach St'. Walk east along Beach Street until you reach Columbus Ave, then turn left. The Jazz Mural is located a short distance down at the intersection with Vallejo Street.
