From Hayward BART Station, take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. After 16 stops, get off at the Montgomery St. Station. Transfer to Muni Line 6 (Parnassus Ave) at Montgomery St. and head towards the Parnassus Avenue & 7th Avenue stop. After about 12 stops, get off at the stop and walk to the Sutro Tower located at 1 La Avanzada St, which is approximately a 15-minute walk uphill.

If you're staying in central Hayward, head towards the Hayward BART Station. From there, take the BART train as described above. Once you get off at the Parnassus Avenue & 7th Avenue stop, walk northwest on Parnassus Avenue and then turn onto La Avanzada Street. Sutro Tower will be visible as you approach, located at the end of the street.
