Walking
If you're starting from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, head east on Hollywood Blvd toward N Orange Dr. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Highland Ave. Turn left onto Highland Ave and walk north for about 0.3 miles. At the intersection with Franklin Ave, turn right and continue walking up Franklin Ave. After about 1 mile, you will reach the entrance to Griffith Park. Once you enter Griffith Park, follow the signs for Griffith Observatory, which is about a 1-mile uphill walk. The path will take you through beautiful park scenery, and you’ll eventually see the iconic observatory ahead.

Public Transit
From the Hollywood/Vine Metro Station (located at 1615 Vine St), take the Metro Bus Line 180 or 181 towards 'North Hollywood' and get off at the 'Griffith Park Blvd & Los Feliz Blvd' stop. From there, transfer to the DASH Observatory bus (Route 10) which will take you directly to the Griffith Observatory. The DASH bus runs frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait long. The observatory will be a short walk from the bus stop once you arrive.
