From Downtown Huntington Beach, head to the nearest bus stop at Main St & Pacific Coast Hwy. Board the OC Bus Route 1 heading south towards San Clemente. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes until you reach the stop at Pacific Coast Hwy & Warner Ave. From this stop, you will need to walk approximately 0.6 miles west along Warner Ave until you reach Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. The reserve is located at 18000 CA-1, Huntington Beach, CA 92648.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride from Downtown Huntington Beach to Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. Start at Main St and head toward the beach. Take the bike path heading north along the coast. Continue past the pier and follow the path until you reach Pacific Coast Hwy. From there, turn left onto Pacific Coast Hwy and ride for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach Warner Ave. Turn right on Warner Ave and continue for about 0.6 miles until you arrive at the reserve entrance.

Walking
For those who prefer to walk, start at the intersection of Main St and Pacific Coast Hwy. Walk south along the Pacific Coast Hwy for about 1.5 miles. After passing Warner Ave, you will see the entrance to Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve on your left at 18000 CA-1, Huntington Beach, CA 92648. The walk is approximately 2.1 miles and may take around 40-50 minutes depending on your pace.
