Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the heart of Downtown Huntington Beach, head towards the intersection of Main Street and Olive Avenue. From there, walk east along Olive Avenue for about 0.2 miles (approximately 4 minutes). You will see the Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum located at 411 Olive Ave, right on your left. Look for the distinctive building with surfboards displayed outside.

• Bicycle Rental

  For a more enjoyable ride, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local shops along Main Street. Once you have your bike, head east on Olive Avenue, which will take you directly to the Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum at 411 Olive Ave. The ride is approximately 0.2 miles and should take about 2 minutes. Be sure to lock your bike at the designated bike racks near the museum.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  While Downtown Huntington Beach is quite walkable, if you prefer public transportation, check for the local bus services. Look for the OCTA (Orange County Transportation Authority) bus stops in the downtown area. You can take Bus Route 1, which has stops along Main Street. Alight at the stop closest to Olive Avenue and walk east for about 5 minutes to reach the museum at 411 Olive Ave. A one-way fare is approximately $2.00.
