    If you are in Inglewood, you can take the Metro Green Line light rail from the Crenshaw station towards Norwalk. Get off at the Aviation/Century station. From there, transfer to the Metro Bus Line 120, which will take you to Long Beach. Get off at the Long Beach Transit Mall. From the transit mall, it's a short walk to the Waterfront area. Just head south on Pine Avenue towards the waterfront until you reach the shores.

    If you are staying near the Inglewood City Hall, you can take a scenic walk. Head east on Manchester Blvd towards La Brea Ave. Turn left on La Brea Ave and walk all the way down until you reach the Green Line Crenshaw Station. From there, you can hop on the Metro Green Line towards Norwalk, and get off at Aviation/Century to transfer to the bus as mentioned.
