From any location in Inland Empire, take the I-10 E freeway towards Palm Springs. Continue on I-10 E for approximately 70 miles. Take exit 117 for CA-62 E toward 29 Palms. Merge onto CA-62 E and continue for about 33 miles. Then turn right onto CA-177 S and follow it for 19 miles until you reach the junction with Route 62. Follow the signs for Route 62 towards Essex. Continue on Essex Road for about 5 miles until you reach Mitchell Caverns, located at 38200 Essex Rd, Essex, CA 92332. Note that parking is available on-site, but there may be a small parking fee.
