Getting There

Public Bus
From central Irvine, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) Route 29 bus heading toward Huntington Beach. Stay on the bus for about 40 minutes until you reach the stop at Pacific Coast Highway and Warner Avenue. From there, it's a short walk to Huntington State Beach. Head west on Warner Avenue, then turn left onto Pacific Coast Highway. The beach entrance will be on your right.

Bicycle
If you enjoy biking, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Irvine. Head towards the Santa Ana River Trail, which is bike-friendly. Follow the trail south until you reach the Pacific Coast Highway. Turn right and continue biking for about 3 miles until you reach Huntington State Beach. There are bike racks available at the beach for you to secure your bike.

If you're up for a long walk, start from the Irvine Spectrum Center. Walk northwest towards Irvine Center Drive, then head west until you reach Alton Parkway. Follow Alton Parkway until you reach the San Diego Creek Trail, then follow the trail south. When you reach Pacific Coast Highway, turn left and continue walking for about 2 miles until you arrive at Huntington State Beach.
