Art Queen: A Unique Art Oasis in Joshua Tree

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Joshua Tree Visitor Center located at 6554 Park Blvd, head east on Park Blvd toward the intersection with Highway 62. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Highway 62, where you'll turn left onto Highway 62. Walk along the highway for about 1.5 miles, keeping an eye out for the Art Queen, which is on your right side. It is located at 61855 29 Palms Hwy, just past the intersection with La Loma, and is marked with colorful art displays outside.

• Bicycle

  From the Joshua Tree Village area, you can rent a bicycle. Start at the corner of Highway 62 and Park Blvd, and follow Highway 62 eastbound. Ride for approximately 1.5 miles. Look for Art Queen on the right side at 61855 29 Palms Hwy. The route is relatively flat, but be cautious of traffic along the highway.

• Public Transportation

  Currently, there are limited public transportation options in Joshua Tree. However, you can check the local shuttle service provided by the Morongo Basin Transit Authority. If available, take the bus towards 29 Palms and ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Highway 62. From there, it is a short walk of about 0.5 miles west along the highway to reach Art Queen at 61855 29 Palms Hwy.
