If you are in the downtown area of Joshua Tree, start at the Joshua Tree Coffee Company located at 61740 29 Palms Hwy. Head east on 29 Palms Highway (CA-62) for about 0.5 miles until you reach Park Boulevard. Turn left onto Park Boulevard and continue north for about 1 mile. The Boy Scout Trailhead will be on your left, just before you reach the Joshua Tree National Park entrance.

From the Joshua Tree Visitor Center located at 6554 Park Blvd, rent a bike from one of the local shops. Head north on Park Boulevard for approximately 1.5 miles. The Boy Scout Trailhead is located on your right just before entering Joshua Tree National Park. The bike ride offers scenic views along the way.
