Getting There

Driving

From the town of Joshua Tree, drive south on Park Boulevard for approximately 14 miles. The campground will be on your left. From Twentynine Palms, proceed south on Park Boulevard for about 16 miles; the campground will be on your right. Be aware that GPS navigation can be unreliable within the park. Parking is available at each campsite, but some sites only accommodate one vehicle. There is a fee to enter Joshua Tree National Park; a 7-day pass costs $30 per vehicle.
Public Transportation

While public transportation to Joshua Tree National Park is limited, the Morongo Basin Transit Authority (MBTA) does offer some bus service. Check the MBTA website for schedules and routes. From the park's visitor centers, a free shuttle service operates to designated stops, including the Hidden Valley day-use area. The shuttle runs every two hours, but visitors must have a valid park pass to use the service. Please note that there is no public transportation within the park itself.
